Over twenty years ago, two local musicians came together to build a business that fueled their passion for music, education, and community. Carmelo Scaffidi and our namesake, Mike Tremblay, opened the first Mike’s Music in 1995, and we are proud to continue to be one of the Ottawa music community’s top choices for rental and repair services.
In the years since, Carmelo and Mike’s Music have been supporting the local music community and music in schools with programs such as, co-op programs, fundraising, Ottawa 67’s adopt-a-school program, and scholarships.
Mike’s Music is proud to be a locally owned and operated small family business. In 2014, our family, business, and music community was shaken to the core when Carmelo was diagnosed with brain cancer. With the indescribable support of the community and the ineffable John Chambers, our certified instrument repair technician, our business remained open throughout the duration of Carmelo’s illness.
